Tattoo Artist Notes & FAQ
Tattoo Artist Notes & FAQ
Are these finished tattoo stencils?
No. Our designs are tattoo-artist reference artwork. Your tattoo professional prepares or adapts the final stencil for your anatomy, placement, skin and preferred size.
Can my artist change the design?
Yes. We expect a professional tattoo artist to make practical adjustments to line weight, spacing, contrast, scale and composition when needed for the body.
What should I send for a custom portrait?
Use a clear, well-lit photo with the face visible and in focus. Also include the intended body placement, approximate tattoo size and any symbols, flowers, dates or optional wording you want considered.
Will a detailed design work as a small tattoo?
Not always. Portraits, fine details and multi-element scenes usually need more space. If a concept is reduced substantially, your artist may simplify details to protect readability and aging.
Do I have to use the wording shown in a concept?
No. Unless a product specifically states otherwise, names, dates and short phrases can be personalized or removed.
Can you guarantee a design will cover a scar?
No. Scar tissue and post-surgical skin vary. Your tattoo professional must determine whether the area is healed and suitable for tattooing and how the design should be adapted.
What am I buying?
You are purchasing tattoo artwork or a tattoo design/reference service as described on the individual product page. Tattoo application is not included.
